Who we are
This policy covers fathomly.info (“Fathomly”, “we”, “us”). For anything in this policy, contact a26279012@gmail.com.
Reading the site
You can read everything on Fathomly without an account. Our public pages do not set cookies, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own domain.
Information processed when you visit
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) processes technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify or profile readers. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
Search
When you search, your search term is sent from our server to Wikipedia's public API to find matching articles. Your IP address is not passed along with it.
Images
Article images, including rendered mathematical formulas, load directly from Wikimedia's servers (upload.wikimedia.org and wikimedia.org), so Wikimedia receives the technical data your browser sends with any request, such as your IP address. See the Wikimedia Foundation privacy policy.
Videos
Videos are not loaded until you press play. When you do, the player loads from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode, and Google may process data as described in Google's privacy policy. Pressing play is your choice to load that content.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to handle your request, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Invite-only features
Some features are available by invitation only. They have their own privacy notice, which is shown before any information is collected.
Membership
Paid memberships are not currently offered. The membership page does not collect payment or contact details.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR, or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. To use these rights, email a26279012@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our public pages are suitable for general audiences and collect no personal information from readers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
