Demjata (Hungarian: Deméte, Rusyn: Демята) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330.
02Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 299 metres (981 ft) and covers an area of 11.49 km2 (4.44 sq mi) (2025).
