Colben Landrew

Colben Isaiah Landrew was born on February 27, 2008, to Stacey and Tremaine Landrew. He has four younger sisters.

For his first two years in high school, Landrew played both football and basketball at Thompson High School, for football, Landrew played the wide receiver position and had 28 receptions for 568 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore before switching to basketball full-time, following his football season, Landrew was named to the ASWA all-state honorable.

Following his sophomore season at Thompson, Landrew transferred to Wheeler High School in Cobb County, Georgia. Following his transfer, Landrew made an immediate impact for his team, leading his team to the GHSA Class 6A state championship in the 2024-2025 season, where he averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. That same season, he was named 2024-25 MaxPreps All-American honorable mention. Entering the summer before his senior year, Landrew participated in the Game Elite at the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship, where in the event, Landrew averaged 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In his senior year of high school, Landrew averaged 24.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game and won a second state championship with his team. Following his senior season at Wheeler, Landrew was also named a MaxPreps All-American, USA Today All-USA High School Basketball Third Team, All-American, Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, Georgia MaxPreps' High School Basketball Player of the Year, Mr. Georgia Basketball, and the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association’s Class 6A North Player of the Year.

Landrew, ranked as a consensus four-star recruit in his recruiting class of 2027. He was ranked as the 21th best prospect by Rivals, the 26th best national player by 247Sports, and was lastly ranked as the 34th best national player by ESPN. On October 15, 2025, Landrew committed to play college basketball at the University of Connecticut where he will be playing for the UConn Huskies. Landrew had also received offers from Texas, Georgia Tech, Berkeley, and Texas A&M among others.

On May 8, 2026, it was announced that Landrew got a camp invite to participate with the USA Basketball U-18 team. On May 27, 2026, it was announced that Landry would be participating with Team USA and representing them for the FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup hosted in León, Mexico. Landrew helped lead the team to the 2026 FIBA U18 AmeriCup Finals, where they played against Canada and lost to them by two points ending the game off with 65 points to Canada's 67 points. In five games, Landrew averaged 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, and won the silver medal.
